Duane has been in the construction industry at CKB since December 2005 as an Estimatior. Duane has worked extensively in manufacturing, first as an equipment operator and later on as a supervisor. Duane graduated from BCIT in Vancouver with a manufacturing engineering diploma in 2000.

Being an eager traveler, Duane has been to Africa, Australia, Europe, Mexico, South East Asia, US and the Caribbean. Duane is always ready to talk about past and future trips with everyone he meets. When not working on that next bid or planning his next trip, Duane enjoys playing computer games online, reading books, going to good concerts or just sitting back and relaxing with family and friends.

Jackie has been in the construction industry since 2014 and has recently joined CKB in early 2020 as a Project Manager.

Jackie began working in the industry as a surveyor for underground construction, while attending NAIT’s Civil Engineering Diploma program, and has worked her way to a Project Manager from there. Jackie graduated from Lakehead University with a Civil Engineering Degree in 2017 and has transferred that discipline into her career mindset and goals. She has quickly become a member of the CKB family and an asset to our organization.

Jackie has more of a rural background, enjoys the outdoors, and has recently gained an interest in running/training for marathon style events.

Mike Melnychuk has been employed at CKB Construction since the summer of 1999. He began as an equipment operator, over the years Mike has moved up through the ranks to General superintendent
Mike has high standards and is dedicated to a safe and productive work environment.

Mike enjoys the outdoors, wether riding motorcycles with his wife or playing with his 4 children ages 4-12.

Carlos started in the Construction Industry in 1996 working as a framer for a small drywall outfit in the United States. From there, he was given the opportunity to expand on his expertise while working for a national construction company that renovates major healthcare facilities. During that time, he advanced to a lead carpenter then a foreman. Carlos has also been an owner/operator of a small framing and concrete forming construction company in Mexico prior to coming to Calgary, Canada, in 2006 as a concrete finisher.

Carlos has been with CKB Construction going on 13 years, working his way up from Concrete Finisher to Superintendent.

Scott enjoys snowmobiling in the mountains, motorcycle rides as much as possible during the summer and relaxing with his dogs watching soccer.

When Craig isn’t working he likes hanging with his son and taking him on motorcycle rides, BBQing, and relaxing on the deck in the summer. Wintertime, when work is slow, he likes to head off to the mountains and go snowmobiling with his coworkers.

Kerry is an experienced operator on various types of Heavy Duty Equipment. He has well over 20 years experience running, repairing and maintaining both automotive vehicles and heavy duty machines.

Kerry leads our maintenance team in keeping all CKB’s equipment in good condition and focuses on preventative maintenance as a cost and time-saving effort. Kerry and his team ensure that each piece of equipment is in peak condition before it leaves the CKB yard and arrives at our customer’s work site.

After working hard all week, Kerry likes to keep busy with his two young girls camping, biking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

On weekends you can find Steve in a gym refereeing basketball, on the golf course or working in his gardens.

Joanna brings 16 years’ experience in the Accounting Field. She has a Corporate Oilfield background and brings that knowledge to the CKB Accounting Department. Her hard work, dedication and knowledge in Accounting is an asset to CKB. She has become an integral part of CKBs family-orientated Office.

Joanna enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She coaches Indoor and Outdoor Soccer for her son’s soccer teams. When Joanna is not driving kids from sport to sport, she loves to visit her family from, spend time with friends, go on vacations, camping, and catch a rodeo from time to time.
